Interplay has done a superb job on making Carmageddon2 *the* best driving simulator for the Macintosh platform. Although the software mode isn't much to brag about, the 3dfx version is simply stunning. This game will carry you away by it's realisticness. The software mode, being 320x200 resolution is hard to play with. Specially since you want to see other cars far away and pixelization takes place at every aspect. The 640x480 mode, which is only avilable if you have a 3dfx based or RAVE based card is awsome.

The software mode doesn't require as much horsepower as the 3dfx mode. This is the only game I've had which runs slower in 3dfx mode on anything lower than a 604e. My UMAX C600's original proccesor was a 200mhz 603e. Playing carmageddon2 in 3dfx mode with my 603e wasn't much fun at all, not until I got my 280mhz G3 upgrade. The game is more than playable now, it simply rocks with the 12mb Game Wizard.

Having said that, let's move onto some Game details and screenshots!
