Welcome to the Accelerate Your Mac!'s Mac Game/Video card Framerate (FPS) Database.
Entries are added regularly so check back often for updates.

Tip: Select game or benchmark title only and a resolution (leave resolution blank for Throughput results and Cinebench results only) to see how different video cards performed with that game. (Example: to see what the fastest video card/system combo is for Quake3, select only Quake3 and a resolution) Or you can select a specific video card to see how it performed in all games/benchmarks listed and with different CPU speeds, etc. (Note - I'm grouping 3dfx cards by their chip type (Voodoo1, Voodoo2, Voodoo3, 4, 5, etc.) for simplicity in searching. iMac Game Wizard Voodoo2 cards are currently kept separate however. You can just select your card name if you like and I'll group it correctly when I post the entry.)


Select Search Criteria: By Game Title, Processor (CPU) Type, Processor (CPU) Speed, Mac System Type, Graphics Card, MacOS Version, and RAM Configuration:


Note: Omitting optional critera will increase search results. When searching for Throughput results don't select a screen resolution. (I asked on the entry page for Cinebench tests to be run at 1024x768 but not everyone read that apparently)

(Optional): Select a Processor (CPU) Type (G5/G4/G3/604/603):

(Optional): Select a CPU Speed Range:

Then Click Button to Search Reviews:
Note: To search all game fps reports for a specific Processor Type, Speed, Graphics Card, etc., regardless of game title, leave the "Game Title" drop-down blank and select the other criteria as desired. Leaving all fields blank will find all posted game reviews, but may yield many pages of results.
